This Privacy Policy explains how Sabiquun ("Sabiquun", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Sabiquun mobile, web, and desktop applications.
Sabiquun is a multilingual Islamic knowledge quiz app with account login, profile features, quiz progress, leaderboards, duels, friends, messaging, notifications, virtual currency, store items, and premium subscriptions.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide the app features you choose to use.
Account and Authentication Information
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:
- Email address.
- Password credentials for email-based login. Passwords should be handled by our backend authentication system and are not displayed in the app.
- Google or Apple sign-in tokens when you choose social login.
- Display name, username, user ID, and authentication session tokens.
- Password reset email, reset code, and reset token when you use account recovery.
Profile Information
You may provide or generate profile information, including:
- Display name and username.
- Avatar selection and profile gender selection.
- Preferred language.
- Notification preference.
- Country and city selected in the app.
- Profile frame and premium status.
Sabiquun does not request precise GPS location permission. Country and city are selected manually from app data or backend location lists.
Game, Progress, and Competition Information
We collect gameplay data needed to run quizzes, daily challenges, leaderboards, duels, progression, and rewards, including:
- Quiz categories, sessions, question IDs, selected answer options, response time, correctness, score, and result summaries.
- Daily quiz runs, answered count, correct count, wrong count, and total score.
- Duel matchmaking, invitations, accept/decline/forfeit actions, match IDs, opponent IDs, answer timing, score, wins, losses, draws, streaks, and rank.
- Progression statistics, mastery scores, levels, leaderboards, task progress, wheel spins, rewards, wallet balances, joker usage, and transaction history.
Social and Messaging Information
If you use social features, we may collect:
- Friend searches by username.
- Friend requests, friendship status, blocks, and unblock actions.
- Public profile cards shown to other users, such as username, display name, avatar, score, level, online status, and premium badge.
- Direct conversation IDs, participant IDs, message bodies, read state, typing events, report reasons, and report descriptions.
- Realtime presence information, such as online status and last seen time.
Messages and reports may be reviewed when necessary to operate the service, investigate abuse, enforce rules, or comply with law.
Notifications and Device Information
If you enable notifications, we may collect:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging device token.
- Platform type, such as Android or iOS.
- Notification delivery data, notification IDs, read state, and notification settings.
The app requests notification permission where required by the operating system. You can turn notifications off in device settings or in the app where the control is available.
Purchase and Subscription Information
If you buy virtual items or premium subscriptions, we may collect:
- Product ID.
- Store name, such as Google Play or App Store.
- Transaction ID.
- Store receipt or verification data.
- Purchase status, subscription status, expiration date, wallet changes, and entitlement records.
Payments are processed by the relevant app store. Sabiquun does not collect or store your full payment card number.
Local App Preferences
The app may store some information on your device using local storage, including:
- App locale and theme mode.
- Onboarding completion state.
- Authentication tokens and user ID.
- Cached profile/game state such as username, display name, gender, scores, daily play status, seen question IDs, recent duel question IDs, country flag, profile frame, and owned frames.
Local storage helps the app keep you signed in and restore your preferences. Removing the app or clearing app data may delete local data from your device, but it may not delete server-side account data.
Technical Information
When the app communicates with our backend, standard technical data may be processed, such as:
- IP address.
- Device and platform information sent by the operating system, browser, app store, Firebase, or network stack.
- Request timestamps, API routes, error logs, and security-related events.
- WebSocket connection events used for realtime features.
The current app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call log, or precise device location permissions.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts.
- Provide quizzes, daily challenges, duels, matchmaking, progression, leaderboards, rewards, store items, and subscriptions.
- Save profile preferences, language, theme, notification settings, and onboarding state.
- Enable friends, messaging, blocking, reporting, and realtime presence.
- Send push notifications about game, social, and system activity when enabled.
- Verify purchases and subscription entitlements.
- Prevent abuse, cheating, fraud, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
- Troubleshoot bugs, maintain app performance, and improve the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed for the app and service:
- With our backend service provider to operate account, quiz, social, messaging, economy, notification, and subscription features.
- With Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications.
- With Google when you use Google Sign-In or Google Play purchases.
- With Apple when you use Sign in with Apple or App Store purchases.
- With other users when you choose public or social features, such as leaderboards, profile cards, friends, duels, online status, and messages.
- With service providers that help host, secure, operate, or support the app.
- With authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction.
Third-Party Services
Sabiquun uses or may interact with the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In: used for optional Google account login.
- Sign in with Apple: used for optional Apple account login on supported platforms.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: used for push notifications.
- Google Play Billing and App Store In-App Purchases: used for purchases and premium subscriptions.

Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Sabiquun, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce our terms.
Examples:
- Account and profile data are generally kept while your account is active.
- Authentication tokens remain on your device until logout, account deletion, token expiry, or app data clearing.
- Gameplay, leaderboard, wallet, purchase, subscription, and transaction records may be kept while needed for game integrity, accounting, fraud prevention, support, and legal compliance.
- Messages, reports, blocks, and moderation-related records may be kept while needed for safety, abuse prevention, and dispute handling.
- Backup copies and logs may remain for a limited period after deletion before being removed through normal retention cycles.
Account Deletion and Your Choices
Depending on the app version and platform, Sabiquun may provide account export, logout, logout from all sessions, and account deletion features through the app or backend.
You may request access, correction, export, deletion, or restriction of your personal information by using available in-app account tools or by contacting the Sabiquun team through the support channel provided with the app or repository.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify account data unless we need to retain certain information for legitimate reasons such as purchase records, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance with law, or protection of other users.
You can also:
- Update profile information in the app.
- Change language and theme preferences in the app.
- Disable push notifications in the app or device settings.
- Stop using social features such as friends, messages, and duels.
- Log out or clear app data from your device.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authenticated API requests and secure network transmission where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using a secure device.
International Processing
Sabiquun, its backend, Firebase, Google, Apple, app stores, and service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
Children's Privacy
Sabiquun is a general-audience quiz app and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required by applicable law without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required consent, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, backend, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be identified by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Sabiquun after an update means you accept the revised policy.
